This suburb is quite unique, it has the largest number of historical buildings in South Africa. Situated approximately 13km south of Cape Town in one of the sought after suburbs of Cape Town, it is primarily a residential area and offers convenience, with amenities close by. The area is well served by public transport and has easy access to the M3 expressway. It also offers easy access to world-famous attractions such as the beaches of False Bay, the gardens of Kirstenbosch and the Constantia Wine Route.

Brief history
