Kenilworth at a glance
Kenilworth Upper is an old, established area in the southern suburbs, bordered by Claremont and Wynberg. There are a number of good schools in the area, such as Cedar House, Greenfields girls’ primary and Michael Oak Waldorf. Herschel Girls’ School, Springfield Convent and Western Province Boys Preparatory school are close by.
Kenilworth is close to good shopping at the well-known Cavendish Square in Claremont. The CBD of Kenilworth is currently undergoing an upgrade, and there are a number of apartment blocks being built in the area. There are a few restaurants in the area, with Chart Farm nearby with its beautiful rose-picking facilities, and a casual eatery on site with their exquisite views of the Constantia Valley.
